NC Budget WOES
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008As the state tries to get the budget straightened out by the end of the fiscal year, which was yesterday, it seems they are struggling to come to an agreement. As always there just is not enough money.
Ironically, Governor Mike Easley is blaming the state’s budget short fall on this years tax cuts. Saying that he opposes some of the tax relief measures that lawmakers have agreed to and that his message to balance the budget appears to be “falling on deaf ears” in the General Assembly, according to the N&O.
