The Wake County Council of Veterans Organizations, Inc will be sponsoring the North Carolina Veterans Parade and Ceremony. This is an exciting event in which to show the men and women who are serving today and those who have served in the past years that their sacrifices and commitment to this country are appreciated.

Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern is proud to present the 9th Annual Second Empire 5K Classic – one of the fastest 5K courses in the Triangle area on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM.

The Second Empire 5K Classic Run/Walk is the fifth race in the increasingly popular Second Empire Grand Prix Series. The Grand Prix has expanded this year and consists of nine of the best races in the Raleigh area. All competing runners in each race will receive Grand Prix points. Individuals accumulating the most points receive money and prizes;
